The Journey To Pull-ups
Pull-ups are often seen as a benchmark achievement in anyone’s fitness journey.
The feeling of that first unassisted chin-over bar feeling is priceless.
It’s the culmination of hard work and putting in effort.
Pull-ups are the bedrock for building a strong, powerful, and athletic back.
They give men that V-taper look and when a woman bangs out several strict pull-ups people are impressed by this feat.
Yet many people struggle weeks, months, or even years with getting just 1 perfect pull-up.
It’s not just jumping to a bar and hoping your chin gets over.
You need a systemic approach to it to fast-track your progress.
In your Pull-up journey there are 3 major benchmarks:
- Getting your first pull-up
- Getting your first 5 pull-ups in a row
- Getting to 10 strict pull-ups. From here on you start adding weight (bad-ass)
This program focuses on the first benchmark.
Ideally, you have access to a gym with limited equipment.

Before starting the program, you’ll learn what a pull-up is, the benefits, what are the prerequisites to get your first pull-up, and how you can get yourself in the best position to get the most out of this program.
Lastly, this program is only a guide. You won’t achieve your goal of doing strict pull-ups by just reading it. You need to be committed and you need to apply what you read.
This means 3 sessions of 20 minutes per week for 6 weeks.
